                 ...to my beloved Margaret McConell

I met the beautiful Margaret McConell

at a London milonga.

She is Argentinian and a true "porteña" (from Buenos Aires),

a brunette with incredible black eyes.

She had gone to London to work on a thesis

at Cambridge University.

One afternoon, by chance,

we passed by the milonga where she was going.

The "porteña nostalgia" is in no hurry;

it can arise at any moment.

It was at 57 Lambert Road,

on the other side of the River Thames.

She was living with relatives in the Teddington neighborhood,

near the famous Wimbledon,

a long way from downtown.

That afternoon, he barely saw me

because of my Buenos Aires "look," he invited me

to dance a tango by "Osvaldo Pugliese".

Watch out! ...that the "gringos" dance it very well

very "smooth"... and with some "tricks," I'm not exaggerating,

almost like a milonga from "Buenos Aires."

I really like "London," perhaps because of its "miracles"

"The Beatles," "Rolling Stones," "Eric Clapton," so many.

There are places in "London" that resemble "Buenos Aires"

because of their "eclecticism," or their "melancholy"

that doesn't make "pairs"

With an almost always gray sky, the rain,

sorrows that haven't yet healed, etc.

Londoners are friendly, pleasant,

and I must say that they like Tango.

It's a shame about the "Malvinas" that separate us,

I love my country, and unfortunately, I don't know forget.

But good music tries to erase enmities,

which are not fleeting.

We visited with "Margaret", "Westminster Abbey,"

"Buckingham Palace," "Tower of London,"

we sailed on the "Thames," etc.

We met again after a month

with my dear "Margaret".

It was in the "Palermo" neighborhood,

in one of its few "pubs"...
